Does anyone have any advice re- ADHD?

Can anyone please suggest a help group for family`s dealing with adhd please? My partner has an 11 yr old boy who is becoming uncontrollable.He has just been setting his bookshelf on fire !! He is a real problem to her ,because of compulsive lying ,amongst other things.We have tried to get help from the health service.All we have had is a health worker tell us that "she isn`t concerned" !!! What do we do ? because when this boy is 16 he will be an uncontrollable adult! You tell him not to do something,he goes and does it !! Sheer desperation leads me to ask for help here today please .Thankyou
