What positive things can be said about the vikings?

I am helping my son do a research project for school, the vikings were often thought of as violent and cruel warriors. My son has to find out what positive things can be found out about the vikings and needs to make a leaflet or brochure to promote the vikings and the great things they did, and add pictures and text, roughly 3-4 paragraphs.
