Aftercare instructions for nostril peircings?

Okay so i just got mine done a day and a half ago.They used a gun and i know this is bad i just found out.Anyways is is red about half a cm around it and it only hurts when i pull in it gently or push it in a bit.I am cleaning it with a bit of hydrogen peroxide watered down with clean distilled water.I use a cotton ball and clean around it.Is this bad? when i clean it should i take the stud out? or keep it in afetr im done cleaning it a use a qtip and put polys on it and out ir aound the hole and on the stud.Is this bad?I heard tee tree oil helps and i also heard its bad?HELP?
