Woking to surbiton station?

hi, im going to be traveling from woking to surbiton station, im a University student and want to know what the cheapest way of getting there is by train, i would prefer to buy a monthly ticket, i have a 16 - 25 railcard, but after buying it im then told i cant use it on season tickets and before 9, which most of my journeys are, so thats useless. And i've also got a Oyster card, im unsure of whether i can use this going from Woking to Surbiton, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
